2 Movie Reviews
Okay, this is my first movie reveiw, so I'll try to make sure this one is good.
First of all, I think that the text version of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince is the best book in the series. It had some of the most surprising twists and some good humor, and I'm pleased to say it's my favorite book.
However, some of the things in the movie kinda disappointed me when compared to the book.
Sure, the bookis always better than the movie, but this one kinda let me down because it didn't seem as faitful as all the other HP Movies have been to their book counterparts.
In this movie, Harry Potter finds himself in the possession of a potion book that was previously owned by the mystrious Half-Blood Prince, who has written many little notes inside the book, as the book isn't as accurate as it should be.
One of the things I am disapointed at is that they didn't show Professor Snape teach Defense Against the Dark Arts, as that might have been enjoyable to watch as Snape tries to teach the class how to use spells by thinking them, not saying them.
Another thing is looking into the past of Voldemort. There were quitea few pars from the book that had Harry going through the pensive and loking at memories from Tom Morvollo Riddle's (a.k.a. Voldemort) past. In the movie, this only happens twice, and rather than Harry and Dumbledore falling into the pensive and watching the memory as if they were there, Harry simply dips his head into this sink-like thing and watch it as if it was on T.V. Underwater.
And one of the biggest things is that spells are rarely used. The only time I recall anybody using spells is when Harry was using various spells to ward off the skellotons in the cave. And that's just it. Besides, the only class they show in the book is one day from Slughorn's Potion Class, where Harry obtains the Felix Felicis.
The movie is also short for a Potter movie. While the book has a lot going on, the movie takes all the not as important stuff and pushes it aside, which makes this movie feel kind of empty.
But while there are parts left out from the book too much, the movie is still enjoyable. They managed to keep the romance parts in, like girls trying to sneek Harry a love potion to Harry falling in love with Ginny to Ron accdentally taking a love potion ment for Harry. And they didn't screw up the ending. Dumbledore does SPOILERS and Snape SPOILERS. It is very enjoyable. If you read the books or seen all the movies up to the fifth, this one is worth checking out.

Hopefully, yes, they will do a better job with the 7th book.
