Wow...just wow. And I thought that some comic book movies couldn't get any worse. There's a lot better comic book movies out there then this piece of rubbish. I am not a big fan and I'm not too familiar with this character either, but the movie was just bad over all. Well the action and Gabriel Macht (who played the Spirit in the movie) were the only good parts about this movie. Over all, Frank Miller tries to bring the comic book to life, and with ridiculous campy humor to go along with it. Now if you seen "Speed Racer", this film is sort of like that, but this film loses it touch when it comes to bad writing and really bad direction. Now the character developments were ok, but not done very well. It could've been better. Like I said, I am not a fan of the Spirit. But the film could've been a lot better, but it wasn't. It could've been done right with a different director. I have never seen Sin City and I probably won't anytime soon. But for now, this just goes to show me that Frank Miller can't direct. I like Frank Miller...as an artist and comic book writer, but Hollywood isn't for him. Sorry Frank, but you completely ruined what could have been a refresh take on something old to make it new for this generation. I am never seeing this movie ever again. Not with a friend, and not even with my family. This movie isn't even worth of my time any day. It's just very bad. Period.
