I didn't know why everyone was complaining about how the characters looked. They look just fine to me. But the film's plot is what strucked me though, not the appearance of the characters. Heck, I wish I can explain what the whole thing was about but it was everything at once kind of. Though the whole plot mainly is about Anakin and his new Padawon learner Ahsoka saving Jabba the Hutt's son from Count Dooku. But anyways, like someone said before, the follow-up series on Cartoon Network is much better than the movie itself. I have to agree on that one. The action scenes weren't that good either. Too short, and not enough. I wished that Anakin and Ventress fought, like they did in the original Clone Wars micro-series on Cartoon Network (now that was AWESOME), created by the people who made Dexter's Laboratory and Samurai Jack. Although this movie was a revision of that show, but more realistic and serious. Only few actors from the actual Star Wars series returns to lend their voice; Samuel L. Jackson as Mace Windu, Christopher Lee as Count Dooku, and obviously Anthony Daniels as our beloved golden droid (I can't keep the name of the character in this review, because it's censored for some reason). And also James Arnold Taylor, who voiced Obi-Wan from the original animated series of Clone Wars, comes back to reprise the role. He voices Leonardo from the latest Ninja Turtles movie, TMNT (2007). I got to hand it to that guy, he's pretty awesome when it comes to voice overs (Tidus from the Final Fantasy X video game, and Wooldoor Sockbat from the Drawn Together TV show on Comedy Central).
Back on topic. So the animation wasn't bad either, being that Lucasfilms first animated feature yet. What's next, a animated Indiana Jones adventure? I probably shouldn't say too much, they might take that as a suggestion.
So overall, it's an OK movie. Not the type for me, but I think youngsters out there will get into the liking of this since it's animated and cool effects. I would too, if I was 5.
