To much of a good thing? Hell no. Saw V was a movie that I thoroughly enjoyed.
The movie follows right from the end of the fourth film where Agent Strahm searches for more answers but ends up in a trap. He escapes and is of course filled with a desire to catch who he believes is the new Jigsaw. Meanwhile a new group of people have been chosen to play in the life changing games that we know all to well.
The film ran similar to how the last one went. It was told through a series of flash backs and there was more than one story going on in the movie, but it all came together in the end like it's predecessors. Tobin Bell was great as Jigsaw like always and the other leads did their parts good as well. The games in the movie were well made to and this time it was added with something a little different.
Now something that people have been saying is that this franchise is running to long and its getting old. Well yeah it has a lot of sequels but just look at some other horror franchises, Halloween, Friday, and Nightmare all ran for over 5 sequels. Yet those films don't have the continuity or as much plot as the Saw franchise has.
Overall I think it was a good addition. I was not able to tell to much about the movie because I really don't want to spoil anything in this one, but definitely go see it. 4.5 out of 5.
