I just seen this movie earlier today, and it was very interesting and fun to watch. I didn't know what to expect, since I never seen the 1999 original, and didn't know how this one is going to make a difference. Probably none, if that were the case. But this movie is really well done, since of course it was directed by the same two who directed the original movie back in 1999. The plot was a bit slow, but the action scenes made the pace go faster. I definitely, like any guy would, like the action scenes in this movie. Pretty amazing effects, and cinematographing were good as well. I have to give credit for Nicolas Cage in this picture; he might not be my favorite actor, or not the right actor to pick for an action flick like this, but he did an excellent job on the character Joe. Making him more real, different than any approach that he did on any character in the past. It was kind of interesting to see Cage from being a cold killer, to an innocent man who needs help. I give this movie 8 out of 10. It was a great movie, and I wouldn't mind seeing this more than once.
