Well, this movie was okay, but I wouldn't say for sure that you should see it. It is extremely gory, hence the R rating, and if you don't like blood and guts, you should stop reading and just forget that this movie was ever made. For those of you who can stand constant bleeding, here's what I think the movie was about. Kate Beckinsale plays the vampire Selene, who, along with her wolf-vampire hybrid friend Michael Corvin (Scott Speedman), tries to evade the grasp of the highest ranking vampire of them all: Marcus (Tony Curran). I have to say, I did not like Scott Speedman's acting in this movie, though he was performed by computer-generated werewolf for enough time for it not to bother me. As Marcus rises from a deep slumber, he sets out to free his werewolf brother, Viktor (Bill Nighy), and learns that Selene has the to his prison. Selene is already in trouble for killing another high-ranking vampire, and this just adds to her troubles. This movie gets really complicated, so it might be a good idea to check out the original film on DVD before you see this one. There were a couple of cool fight scenes, but overall, I have to say the movie was a little bit over-the-top with violence. If you can stand that sort of thing, by all means, go see it, but don't expect a masterpiece on any level.

the rating is M iot it only has an MA rating but it may differnet in seperate countries but the story is well done and you dont have to see the 1st for it to make complete sense and Scott Speedmans acting isnt that bad and if u didnt want to see constant bleeding and fighting you shouldnt have seen this movieR but may vary in
