Insane and very raunchy. In other words, I loved it. Also, there were tons of video game references, including DDR, Halo 2, and more. Basically, the whole movie makes fun of nerds and game programmers/testers. Alcohol, drugs, sex, and swearing were also big themes, and the jokes could be very non sequitur at times. In other words, this is very inappropriate. So, you're still interested? Alex is a middle aged video game tester who's having trouble finding a house. While staying at the house of his friend Jeff (Nick Swardson), Alex accidentally masturbates on Jeff's mother, and is kicked out. With nowhere else to stay, Alex is forced to live with his Grandma Lilly (Doris Roberts) and her two roommates (Shirley Jones and Shirley Knight). During this time, he works to create the best Xbox game ever, redifining video games in secret. Well, that's basically the whole plot, so I might as well introduce the characters. Mr. Cheezle, Alex's boss, is a hippie who enjoys yoga more than focusing on his job. Samantha is a hot new employee who is in charge of the testers' tasks and... fantasies. J.P. is the bigshot, robot-obsessed game designer who even the testers hate. Dante (Peter Dante) is the local drug dealer who makes many strange friends, including a martial arts expert (Jen Sung Outerbridge) and an African witch doctor (Abdoulaye N'Go). Other testers include Barry (Jonah Hill) and Kane (Kelvin Yu). Together, these actors make a very funny environment, and small performances by Rob Schneider and David Spade perfect it. So, from what I've said, you can tell this is a very wacky film, and definitely not for the younger crowd. I would suggest renting this, if you really want to see it.
