In short, this was good, but generic. I believe this is actually based off of a book, but I have no other information about it...time to do some homework... Here's a little piece of information for all you 24 [a TV show] fans: Mary Lynn Rajskub, who plays the computer geek, Chloe O'Brian, that works for CTU [Counter Terrorist Unit] in 24, makes an appearance as the fairly-bristly (less than Chloe) secretary for the main character, who happens to be named Jack Stanfield (a coincidence, maybe?). If you don't like 24 or you've never heard of it, forget I've ever brought it up. Before I lose my train of thought, Jack Stanfield (Harrison Ford) is an elderly (not quite a senior, I believe) employee who works for Landrock Pacific Bank. Throughout this movie, Jack is victimized by a clever criminal named Bill Cox (Paul Bettany). First, Bill and his group of thugs break into Jack's home and tie up his wife, Beth (Virginia Madsen), daughter, Sarah (Carly Schroeder), and son, Andrew (Jimmy Bennett). Threatening to kill Jack's loved ones, Bill makes Jack help him break into the bank and steal millions of dollars ($10,000 from each customer). This movie twists and turns, and gets a little confusing, but it all makes sense by the end... you'll see. Oh, while we're still talking about the ending, I just have to say that it really didn't wrap much up; there are so many loose ends. Also, I thought that Vince Vieluf's character, named Pim, overused the phrase 'shut up.' Finally, I do not believe this movie is for kids for some violence and the swearing ('well then you've got a big f---ing problem'). So, the final verdict on this movie is: don't see it now; rent it later.
