Adam Sandler is Michael Newman in this extraoridinary, tear-jerking, adventure that will leave you crying, and laughing all the way! This movie doesn't surprise as much, since Adam Sandler is a great actor and I like most of his movies. Some of his movies now are really stupid, like Zohan. But this, this movie was really good. Fun to watch and had a good lesson by the end that I noticed and learned from. If you had that kind of control, would be worth to skip everything and not be who you are? Same thing with "Bruce Almighty", which is one of my favorite Jim Carrey movies. But overall, this is a great movie for the family to enjoy.

Well, this is a first. A comedy that's sad at the same time. Weird. Anyways, the movie starts out with an average guy named Michael Newman (Adam Sandler). Michael is an architect that works for his CEO, nothing special. His neighbors always make all the good technology and better trinkets, and when Michael's TV remote breaks, he can't take it any more. He goes to a Bed, Bath, and Beyond for a universal remote (they sort of explain why). There, he finds a weird guy in a back room. When he asks for a remote, he is given a futuristic remote that lets him control, well, the universe. And since it's an Adam Sandler character using it, who knows what will happen! I thought this movie was really funny at parts (especially with the stuffed duck), and is enjoyable. Be warned, it's not all laughter, for the movie gets quite solemn near the middle and end, not that it isn't nice. I think this movie is good and definitely worth seeing in theaters, renting, or buying.
