There was really nothing wrong with this movie, except the fact that it wasn't very historically accurate or plausible. The movie seemed like a modernized generic Western family film. The violence was also kind of cheesy, but hey, it's a family movie! The story is about Zorro (Antonio Banderas) as he gets older and starts to raise a family. The internal conflict he faces involves giving up the mask to protect his wife (Catherine Zeta-Jones) and son (Adrian Alonso) in case his enemies find out who he really is. For most of the movie, Zorro screws up whenever he makes his decisions and loses the respect of his wife and son. But don't worry, he saves the day after all (otherwise, this movie wouldn't be very good at all, now would it?). This movie doesn't exactly deserve a PG rating for one reason, the rowdy language. Joaquin (Zorro's son) is always getting in trouble for saying 'naughty words.' For example, he calls the bad guy a 'son of a bitch' in Spanish. If your kids can speak Spanish or read subtitles, then you better be careful.
