This movie was fun and educational! Although, it did seem a little more like a documentary than an entertaining movie; maybe because of all the interviews and statistics. Both times I've seen this movie so far have been in Science class, so, I guess maybe it is more like a documentary... There isn't a plot; the entire movie is about Morgan Spurlock (played by none other than Morgan Spurlock!) as he goes through a thirty day binge where he eats ONLY McDonalds fast-food. If McDonalds doesn't sell the food, then Morgan can't eat it; and this even goes for bottled water! The other rules are: he has to eat three meals a day, he has to get everything on the menu at least once, and if a cashier asks him if he wants to supersize his order, he has to say yes. These rules are tough, but he manages to survive, but barely! He starts out as a perfectly healthy young man and basically wrecks his livers! This movie is also a little graphic because Morgan throws up on... day two?, and there is footage of an obese man having surgery, and it is VERY disgusting! This movie isn't entirely about Morgan, as that last statement of mine said. He goes around the country and talks to regular and famous people about fast-food. Most of the people he talked to didn't know what a calorie was (I, however, know that it is a unit of energy)! Also, a lot of kids at schools Morgan visits don't recognize a picture of Jesus Christ and some don't recognize George W. Bush, but all of them recognize Ronald McDonald, the 'mascot' of McDonalds. Morgan also talks to a group of people in front of the White House and finds out that they don't know the Pledge of Allegiance (I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America,...), but he then finds out that they have memorized the 'Big Mac' slogan from McDonalds. There is a lot of stuff here that makes you wonder if something is wrong with this country, and it is more interesting and educational than fun... This is worth seeing, but better to see in a school or with a class (or something like that) and at home on your own time; unless you like learning about stuff...
