This movie had an okay beginning, good middle, and not-so-great ending. I won't go into much detail because I don't want to spoil the movie, but I just want to say that the ending was unexpected in a bad way. The acting was as good as necessary, and the blood and gore was very realistic. This is not a movie for kids because of the blood, gore, and intense swearing (which was completely unnecessary in most cases). The plot in this movie involved some sort of weird virus infecting everyone in London, England into becoming zombies that want to eat the living. Also, the dead have returned as zombies to eat the living. Shaun (Simon Pegg) and his loser friend Ed (Nick Frost), are two of the people who haven't been infected. Together, they form a rescue party to save who they can and try to survive the zombies. Yes, there is a bit of a love story in the movie, and yes, the jokes are actually funny. This is a great movie, but you probably shouldn't see it if you can't handle lot's of blood, gore, and/or swearing, because there's a lot.
