This is the perfect sports movie, with the exact right mix of sports, acting, and a great script. The best part of the movie is that it was a true story. Miracle is the story of the United States 1980 hockey team in the Olympics, coached by Herb Brooks. The U.S. team was a bunch of college players (many of them rivals), who banded together to beat the Soviet Union, the fear in international hockey. It perfectly exemplifies the hardships in the U.S. in early 1980, and also the joy of beating the Soviet Union in their own sport on our soil. Kurt Russell, who played coach Herb Brooks, did a wonderful job of acting; so did the hockey players, who were actual hockey players, and not actors. Anyone alive during the times will enjoy this movie, and for those younger, you should see it as well.
