Two of the most addictive things in the world caffeine and nicotine are brought together in 11 little stories of whatever these people feeling like talking about.
The film consists of 11 short stories which share coffee and cigarettes as a common thread. Many topics ranging from The Telsa Coil, to the movie business, music, and Elvis' evil twin are all discussed. Very odd I know and in a way this is not a Indiana Jones fan movie.
The film at times is very funny and true about the business itself. Although at times I couldn't find myself too amused because it seemed as too boring and bland for me to enjoy a lot. What really bit me was that there would be 2 or 3 shorts that were hilarious and the rest were a little too dull for me.
The acting is very phenomenal however, and I enjoyed every stars own little part in the film. This shows that each of these stars have great improve skills and I enjoyed there acting despite the boredom. Cate Blanchett does a great job in a duel role playing herself and a fictional cousin. As do all characters play themselves and fully evolve into these different type of people for their Hollywood personality.
Jim Jarmusch, the director, had a great vision but I felt at points the script wasn't too engaging too fully keep me glued to these conversations. If someone as like a Tarantino were doing this I would have been more impressed. Though I feel Jarmusch direction was influenced but very lazy to say the least.
Despite this film being as a little too boring I was entertained a lot at some parts but they were very small. Would've like to see better stars and definetley a better script
