Will Ferrell, you're my hero. As usual, this comedy was hilarious. Not everyone will enjoy the occasionally random humor like I did, but this movie will still be enjoyable. Another reason why not everyone will like this as much as I did was because of the characters' sexist humor. The small performances by Fred Armisen, Jack Black, Chris Parnell, Tim Robbins, Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn, and Luke Wilson make the movie completely worthwhile. In the 70's, men were still in control of society, and were beginning to lose that power. This movie shows San Diego's cocky news anchor, Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell), as he learns to adjust to women. When a new reporter, Veronica Corningstone (Christina Applegate) comes into his life, the newscast, consisting of smooth Brian Fantana (Paul Rudd), cowboy Champ Kind (David Koechner), and stupid Brick Tamland (Steve Carell), simply waves her off and refuses to believe that their jobs might just be at risk. But when producer Ed Harken (Fred Willard) begins to warm up to the ambitious Ms. Corningstone, Ron Burgundy realizes that women aren't just as dumb as he thought. This is film is a riot, and I laughed almost constantly. I would suggest buying this movie, because you're definitely going to want to watch it at least once.
