I thought that this movie was really good, although I must say that I have a pretty strong stomach when it comes to these kinds of movies, so you may not like it as much. There was a lot of brutality, swearing, and violence. There were scenes of people being shot in the streets and scenes of the piles of bodies and pools of blood that were left over. The setting was around the same time period as Hotel Rwanda (PG13, 2004) (when the civil war was going on), but instead of being about the African refugees trying to survive, this film is about the American Navy Seals trying to rescue people. The movie begins with Lieutenant A.K. Waters (Bruce Willis) receiving a briefing to rescue Doctor Lena Fiore Kendricks (Monica Bellucci), who is in a Nigerian mission that will soon be destroyed by rebels. When Waters makes it to the mission, Dr. Kendricks refuses to leave unless she can take some of her patients with her (who would undoubtedly be killed if they didn't evacuate). Reluctantly, Waters takes the patients along, but is greatly slowed down. There is a subtle love story that develops (not surprisingly), and there is a lot of depressing footage. This movie is definitely not for kids, and you have to be prepared for a lot of sadness and violence.
