This film is a great sci-fi/horror film. Vin Diesel does a great job playing the captured criminal, Richard B. Riddick. When I saw this film for the first time, I was amazed by how creepy it was (I don't really like horror movies). The creatures that only come out at nighttime are very realistic looking, and therefore scary. In other words, the special effects are very good. There is a lot of swearing/blood and gore in this film, which is fitting but explicit. The character development is great (except for the guy who gets eaten while burying a dead guy in the beginning); there is such a variety of personalities! This is definitely one of my favorite horror films, although it scared the **** out of me.
