This movie was very interesting and creepy. I was surprised and a little disappointed that Christopher Walken didn't have a comedic role, not that this is a comedy or anything. It's not like it was a bad performance, it was just kinda weird for Christopher Walken. In this movie, a bunch of friends, Brett (Jay Mohr), Avery (Henry Thomas), T.K. (Jeremy Sisto), and Max (Sean Patrick Flanery), form a daring plan. Avery's sister/Max's girlfriend (Nina Siemaszko), is kidnapped by two psychotic criminals (Brad Garrett and Frank Medrano), and no one has the two million dollar ransom they're demanding for her life. This is where ex-mobster Carlo Bartolucci (Christopher Walken) comes in. Once a feared criminal ringleader (and now known as Charlie Barret), Bartolucci has come clean, looking for a new life. Taking advantage of this, the group of young men kidnap Bartolucci and hold him in the mansion of their nerdy friend Ira (Johnny Galecki), pulling him into the mess. Threatening to torture Bartolucci if he doesn't help, these crazy boys hope to use the crime boss's contacts to save Jennifer. Bartolucci agrees to help, but begins to realize that the situation is more complicated than it seems, and one of the kidnappers could be one of their own rescue party. As stupid as this sounds, all of the guys have motives and secrets to reveal. Even if Bartolucci ends up saving the day for the friends, will they be safe from his henchmen (including Denis Leary and Louis Lombardi)? Are they even safe from themselves? When the film finally stops twisting and turning, you'll be shocked! Expect humor and great character development. Buy this today!
