I thought this movie was funny, yet a little bit slow. In a nutshell, the plot is about a mean, selfish news reporter, Phil Connors (Bill Murray), who gets stuck in time; repeating the same day, Groundhog Day, over and over again. The movie is a comedy because of how Phil manages to take advantage of the situation, because no one else is able to remember what happened the day before. For example, Phil would ask women about personal information and use it 'the next day' to take advantage and eventually sleep with them. He would also do things like remember when the driver of an armored car wouldn't be paying attention so that he could steal the money and become rich for a day. It's funny how selfish and rude Phil can be when it comes to taking advantage of other people. At the end of the story, however, he becomes so desperate to get out of the continuous loop that he actually becomes a good person and helps people. Somehow, doing all of the good deeds helps him to return to a normal life, although he returns as a better person. This is a good comedy, although it gets a little boring to see the same things happen around him over and over again.
