Another amazing movie by George Lucas (it was actually directed by Irvin Kershner, but Lucas wrote it). Exciting (...at least for their time...) battle scenes, especially the invasion of Hoth, make this movie fun and a great experience. This movie also includes the 'I am your father' line by Darth Vader, which makes this movie a classic in its own way. After the Death Star was destroyed in Episode IV, the Empire continued to hunt the Rebellion freedom fighters, forcing them to retreat and hide on many different planets. This movie begins as they set up on the ice planet, Hoth. Beginning with a crazy land assault, the Empire causes the Rebels to split up once again. Luke, instructed by the ghost of Obi-Wan Kenobi (Alec Guinness), splits off from the Rebels and goes to the swampy planet Dagobah in search of the Jedi Master named Yoda (voiced by Frank Oz). But instead of a Jedi Master, he meets a mysterious little creature that continuously bothers him. Soon, he will see that many things are not what they see, and will have to unlearn what he has learned. Meanwhile, after running into tough Empire fleets, the crew of the Millenium Falcon is forced to flee to the gas-mining Cloud City on the planet Bespin, where they meet the gambler and friend of Han Solo (Harrison Ford), Lando Calrissian (Billy Dee Williams). However, during their stay, they uncover a dark and terrible secret, one that could destroy them all. Will they survive this dangerous ploy? Will Luke be able to complete his training and become a Jedi Knight like his father? I would definitely buy this movie; it's great, especially for kids, who will love the battles and chase scenes. I also enjoyed seeing the grown-up bounty hunter, Boba Fett (Jeremy Bulloch), who we hadn't seen since the death of his father/clone, Jango Fett in Episode II.

I'd have to say that this is my favorite film in the entire Star Wars series. The Battle of Hoth is great, as Tusserte said. Again, I love the scenes with Han Solo and Princess Leia (they were pretty funny). The film ends tragically, though, and the lightsaber duel between Darth Vader and his son Luke is great.
