I'm not sure how many times I've said this. Three times? Four? Who knows? You can't expect anything other than greatness from Madden football. First of all, this is the first time I've played a football game on the 360, but let me tell you, the graphics mind-boggling. You can see sweat, dirt (on both the field and the players), blades of grass, and spit (that last one might not be a good thing). It basically contains all of the aspects of previous games in the franchise mode, single game, online play, practice mode, etc. However, there are some notable differences. For example, in Superstar mode, one takes over the life of an actual NFL-draftee. You control his off-the-field life as well as his play on the field. This means you have a camera focusing on his point of view, and only his. It could be boring if you are a lineman, but once you get used to the new view it's not so bad. I do prefer franchise mode, however, as you can control everything during the game. Although I'm not positive, I believe this is the first Madden to use online mode, making it even better. You can challenge anyone you want, or play a ranked match. There are only two downsides I can think of to the latest version of Madden. First, Madden is not the announcer! What were the game-makers thinking when they didn't get him to do it? Second, the only multiplayer option is one v. one. That means no two people on the same team, which is bad for parties (you probably wouldn't play Madden at a party anyways, though). To sum it all up, it's Madden (kind of). It's football. It's a video game. What more could you want?
