A good, solid score for a good, solid game. A little different from the first game, and more challenging (I actually had to replay a level to beat it). I thought that being allowed to play as a Jedi/Sith/other hero would mess up the entire balance of the game, but it actually was even better. Personally, I thought campaign for this game is much more enjoyable than the last one. In this game, you actually get to relive Star Wars Episode III (the movie) as a clone trooper, and then you can continue on as the Empire, and Rebel Alliance. What makes it more interesting than the Instant Action mode (just a bunch of random fighting) is that there are actual objectives, unlike the first game where you would just have to beat a specific level doing the regular Conquest Mode. Now, there are new little things to spice up the campaign, including defending positions for a specific time, surviving for a certain amount of time, and more. The Galactic Conquest Mode feels a little like a Dynasty Warriors game (taking turns deciding where to move and attack, as well as choosing special bonuses), so I didn't really like it. Battlefront II introduces a new concept of fighting: space battles! As exciting as this may seem, after playing a few rounds of dogfighting/boarding enemy ships, you're gonna wish you never have to do one of these again, and I'm being as dead serious as you will be dead of boredom. The ground battles will still capture your interest, especially with the variations in game modes, such as Capture the Flag. So, back to comparing this to the original. The graphics are about the same (just a little bit of improvement) and most of the sounds used in this game are recycled from the first, although I was impressed to hear Temuera Morrison (or an impression so good it's scary) doing all the voices for the clones (Jango Fett, Morrison's main role, really doesn't say much in this game). There are some new vehicles, and I'm happy to say that this game is much more accurate to the Star Wars movies (there are no Wookies on Endor!). Considering this game is a little better than the original, I would recommend buying it, but if you already have the first one, it's really up to you...
