It's not that great. The only great campaign, in my opinion, is the beginning of the Russian one. It takes kind of a D-Day approach, with hundreds of Russian ships storming German-held Stalingrad to win back the city. Other than that, the game also lets you play in the British campaign against Rommel in North Africa (which I found rather repetitive and extremely annoying) and the American campaign on the Western front (which I never got to play). Another downside is that only one player can play on the system at a time. Even with Xbox Live, that's kind of boring. Although I've never played the original Call of Duty for the PC, I hear that it is better than this, so if I were you, I'd buy that version. Unless you are a die-hard fan of Call of Duty or of WWII first-person shooters, don't use your money to buy it.
