The Biasphere

This i the best Rock Game available for Wii. What makes me say that? Well, it's treated exactly like it's versions on other counsoles. While the origional Rock Band for Wii had the same fun gameplay that every other version had, the Career mode was crud and the game was stripped of the things that made Rock Band more fun, such as character making and Downloadable content.

Rock Band 2 changes that by including all the same things that the other versions have. This makes it really fun, and better than Guitar Hero: World Tour.

First up is the Character maker. Not only do you make characters, but that person is you when you play. After every gig, each person gets a "cut" of the money, which they can use to buy items at the shop. After getting a fair amount of cash, I tricked my character out with a Leather Jacket, Black Jeans, and a Glow-In-The-Dark Drumset. Not only can you use them while you are playing, but in Rock Band 2, you can have your characters fill in for empty spots in your band i.e. you can set it so that your friend's character plays guitar while no one is actually playing guitar. This is a nice personl touch to make it feel like you are in a band.

The Tour mode is terrific. In this mode, you go to real-life cities and hit venues to play gigs. Playing gigs will earn you money, fans, and stars (the later which is used to unlock more venues). Once in a while, an "opportunity" will come up after you select a gig, which you can either accept or decline. Some of these might be to play for richer fans, earning you moremoney but less fans, or double or nothing, in which if you get 4 stars in every song in that gig, you'll get double th money, but if you don't, you lose double. These add some nice variety to the game.

Online is terrific. You can connect to up to 3 other Wiis and rock together, or you can play aginst someone in any of the verses modes. The download store is great, allowing you to back up songs to an SD card. They even have 20 free songs for download, totaling up Rock Band 2's songlist to 105 songs, including the free downloads!

This game is very fantastic, I don't have the instruments for this version, but I have the older ones, which seem to be holding up. This is a great game and if you like Rock Band / Guitar Hero then I highly recomend this!
