WOOOO! Who doesn't love Ratchet & Clank? Sony's best 3D platformer series! Or is that God of War? Or Jak & Daxter? Not sure... Anyways, how does this game stack up against the other games in the series?

The story is pretty basic, but it gets the job done. Ratchet & Clank are on vacation when a little girl named Luna comes up to them. She tells them that she's writing a report on Heroes for her school. She asks Ratchet & Clank to do heroic stuff. Luna then gets kidnapped by robots. When Ratchet & Clank go to save her, a terrible secret is revealed... (not going any further, too many spoilers)

The game's short, REALLY short. When I eventually made it to the Final Level, I was surprised I was already there. Luckily there's replay value. You can go back and get Titanium Bolts and Skill Points. Titanium Bolts unlock skins for Ratchet, and Skill Points unlock cheats (eg. make Clank bigger).

The controls in this game work pretty well, and don't feel awkward at all. You use the Analog stick to move your character, the Shoulder buttons to move the camera, the face buttons to shoot/jump/attack, and the D-Pad to strafe. It feels good and not clunky at all. But I never used strafing once, so if you're a strafer, you may experience some problems.

There is actually a Multiplayer mode in the game aswell, but unfortunately, I don't know anybody else that owns the game so I haven't had a chance to try it out yet. I'm guessing that it's either a Co-Op mode (doubt it), or a Battle mode. Definitely check it out if you get the chance.

There's so many different gameplay variations, so the game never becomes repetitive. Almost all of them are good aswell. This game NEVER becomes repetitive. You can play as Ratchet in a 3D platformer, Clank for 3D puzzle areas, Clank in a game sorta like Basketball, Gadgetbots in a 2D game sorta like Lemmings, and as Clank in a Linear 3D Space Shooter.

There's a few problems I have with the game. It's too short (which I've already mentioned before), some of the puzzles were really hard to figure out, whereas others were really easy to figure out, the stages are a bit small and the freakin' Dreamland levels make me so damn sick. Why do they even exist? They aren't needed. I realise that they're a part of the story, but the levels themselves aren't THAT important.

BUY OR NOT TO BUY: Do you like own a PSP? If so, buy this awesome game. There's so much to do and collect, it's insane. The combat is nice, and there's loads of upgrades to keep you interested.

I give Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters for the PSP.... an 8/10.
