GTA: Vice City Stories is the 2nd GTA game on the PSP, and it received incredibly high ratings, just like Liberty City Stories did. Is this game as good as Liberty City Stories was? Read on to find out.

In the game, you play as Vic Vance. Right at the start you're in the Army, and your Sergeant forces you to do jobs involving illegal drugs, and prostitutes. Other army members find out about this, and you kicked out of the Army onto the street, and you're forced to find your way and conquer the city.

Right off the bat, in the first 10 or so missions, there's a huge variety in the missions. There's escort missions, racing missions, killing missions and escape missions. It was a smart move by Rockstar to show the variety that the game offers, because otherwise some people may have gotten bored with it.

Vice City Stories was released a year after Liberty City Stories was, and just like Liberty City Stories, a port of the game was released on the Playstation 2 a year later. That basically shows the quality of the game straight away. What I really think the PSP needs though, is a completely exclusive GTA title.

Another new feature of the game is 'Empire Building'. You take over businesses and keep looking over them. Some of the types of businesses you can have are prostitution, drugs and robbery. It's pretty fun, but I still prefer the main gameplay of GTA to it. It's a nice addition to the series though, I sorta like it.

I own the game on both the PS2, and the PSP. Don't ask me why. I found the PS2 version for $10 pre-owned, so I don't really care. I play it more on my PSP though, but it's still nice to have it available.

It's the little things that I love about GTA. I love when I pull off an insane drift, or the subtle jokes that are put in the game. An example of the subtle jokes, are the collectables. In the game you have to collect 99 Red Balloons. Which is a reference to the 80s song named '99 Luft Balloons'. Epic win, right?

Ah, how can I have a GTA review without mentioning the music? Well, of course I can't. As usual, I only ever listen to the Heavy Metal station. The Heavy Metal station on VCS is V Rock. Some of the bands featured in the game are Quiet Riot, Kiss, Queen, Motley Crue, Queensryche, The Scorpions and Dio.

BUY IT, BORROW IT, OR BREAK IT?
GTA: Vice City Stories is a must-own for any hardcore PSP gamer. The game is as good as most of the Console GTA games. The music's good, the story's good, and the gameplay, as usual is good. Buy it!
