Daxter is the highest selling PSP game in North America, and with good reason. It has great graphics, and it's a great spin-off from the 'Jak & Daxter' series. But, what exactly do you do in the game? IS IT GOOD?

I've personally only finished 5-6 levels of this game, because I take all my time trying to collect everything in the levels, so it takes me maybe 20-30 minutes to do one level, but I don't mind. =D

The first thing that I noticed when I turned the game on, is the visuals. In particular, the cutscenes are gorgeous. If you add the funny dialogue to the visuals, it makes cutscenes way more enjoyable.

The in-game graphics are AMAZING. Screenshots don't do it justice, because you're always moving, and they don't look as pixely. The Developers 'Ready at Dawn Studios', have done a great job at making the graphics as good as possible, and since this game came in a bundle with the Slim & Lite, they had to be.

At first, gameplay seems pretty basic. Daxter has an electric flyswatter, called an Electro-Swatter, which he beats the hell out of bugs with. So, all you do is your Melee weapon to hit bugs, right? Nope! You also get an Extermination Tank that shoots Bug Spray at bugs, but it also has loads of other uses to help you get through the levels. Like you can shoot them downwards, which makes you levitate, so you can fly across big gaps. The levels really make you think in order to finish them, like sometimes you have to climb, sometimes you have to levitate, sometimes you have to double jump then levitate, and barely any levels are similar, because there's so many methods you have to use to get to the end of the levels.

Daxter has similar gameplay to Jak & Daxter, you go into people's stores/houses, and go into their... underground cellars? I guess. The whole city isn't automatically available like in Jak & Daxter, but I don't mind, it makes me focus more on the levels, without me going away from the main experience.

BUY OR NOT TO BUY: Definitely a must-own game for the PSP, especially if you love Jak & Daxter.
