Feeling betrayed by the gods, Kratos plunges off of the highest mountain in all of Greece: Mount Olympus, disappearing into the mists below, and ultimately ending up in the ocean. This is a great example of the suspense you will find in the game. God of War being an action thriller, keeps you playing into the wee hours of the morning, simply because the action never stops. In this game, you are constantly on the move, fighting mythological creatures and solving riddles to help you reach the ultimate goal of the game: to defeat Ares, the God of War.
This is the kind of game that will have you locked in your room for days on end without putting down the controller. Having played the game, I feel that anyone who likes a game that is packed full of adventure, has a great story line with a plot that won't disappoint, and will be satisfied with beating the game after traveling all around the known world and even through Hell, should at least rent, if not buy this game. Some parts were not as enjoyable, though. There was the infamous tower of blades that was too complicated to get past without many tries (which is the only known complaint about the game from any source), but you can't really complain when you have a handful of good challenge on your hands. Also, the graphics were really top-notch, and the sound wasn't too bad, either.
So, if you're a thrill seeker who wants a fairly long game that will leave you on the edge of your seat throughout the game and will keep throwing more and more action in your face until the very last moment, "God of War" is for you.
