Swat 4 is an amazing FPS game for the PC, although released in 2005, when the graphics are turned up to "Very High", the game looks purely amazing!

Single player: You are the captain of your swat team, you are sent on various missions, involving hostage rescues, raiding drug houses, etc. You have a wide array of wepons to choose from, be it less-lethal or not (although you get more points to arresting suspects, and are penalized if you kill a suspect that did not represent a threat to you). It is overall a very realistic and fun game.

Multiplayer: Multiplayer is available through player hosted servers, which there are tons to choose from. Its like single player, except you choose weather you want to be Swat or a Terrorist (like CounterStrike)

This game sounds interesting... I'm surprised I've never heard of it! It sounds a little bit like Counter Strike or Rainbow Six; how would you compare it to those games?

I have not really played Rainbow Six much, and i haven't ever purchased Counter Strike, ive just seen people play it, and know what the game is about, so i couldn't really compare the games. It really is a pretty fun game though, online and offline, hacking is extremely scarce in this game to. You probably haven't heard of it because its not a well known FPS game, there's usually only about 100 people online during the afternoon (on all servers combined) If you ever consider getting this game, i would recommend you try and get the expansion to, as there is a bunch of new weapons for online gameplay in it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mamoFMO4tDs There is an example of online gameplay in the game
