This is a great turn-based strategy game, based off of moving your troops around a map, taking over territories and beating your enemies. The plot isn't much different from the original game, the enemy returned somehow and is once again wreaking havoc upon the residents of War World. The campaign is an interesting blend of achieving objectives and basic game-play. This game can be described as simplicity at its best. You have only a few different types of units, who walk around on a reasonable small map, over only a few types of terrain, yet all those add up to a easy-to-learn, addicting game that is just complicated enough to have you hooked. An interesting feature of this game is the ability to create your own maps, completely from scratch and you are able to trade maps with your friends. Another feature of this game is its ability to play with up to 4 friends all on the same GBA, the power of turn-based strategy, which will make any long car, or plane, ride enjoyable with friends.

This game is pretty good. There are some differences between this game and the original version but it's just some minor changes. You can also unlock different Commanders and maps and if you beat the game, there's also a Hard Campaign which is basically the same as normal but with a slight change.

This game is pretty addicting but it's very time consuming. This game is great for all ages!

Although this game is good, it is not much different from the original Advance Wars. Okay, so there are a few new units and a few new C.O.s (Commanding Officers, basically heroes who you can play as), but overall, there is nothing particularly special. The campaign is just as good, but it is different. Yes, this is a strategy game where you take turns building and moving soldiers, just like the first (not that it wouldn't be!). The C.O.s are cool because they each have a little unique special ability that you can activate once in a while (not exactly sure how that works). There is a lot of strategy because there are different terrains, like roads, forests, rivers, beaches, mountains, and other things that each have their own advantages, so positioning is also an important thing. In the game, you also get capitals and cities which supply...Supply Points, which you save up to build more units. It's cool because all these little cities, factories, and capitals are capturable, so you can send in infantry to take them over. With so many aspects and possiblities, this game doesn't get boring for a long time. Also, the main interesting detail is that when there is a battle between two different units, there is a little cinematic where you see them shooting at each other. If you don't like 'wasting time' watching the movies every time, you can just turn them off, but they're definitely pretty fun. This game, like the original, is pretty addicting, and games can last from ten minutes (if you're good) to maybe an hour or two (if you're really bad). I think I usually end up with the latter. Anyways, this game is a little bit better than the original, and is definitely worth your money. Remember, this is great for all ages!
