Graphics
The graphics aren't bad for this game especially because of the fact it is on the Nintendo DS. The graphics aren't as pixilated as many DS games are. The game has a vibrant and colorful aspect in graphics.
Game play
The game meshes nicely with the hand held console and takes full advantage of both screens the touch screen aspect of the lower screen and built in microphone. The whole point of the game is to buy, raise, feed, bathe, walk, and play with your dogs.
Sound
The sound on this game is pretty good. The music is alright and fits in nicely with the whole game. The sounds of barking and whining dogs is good but repetitive. Every dog barks and whines the same way. Speaking of sound I have found that the sound of music going into the DS through the microphone can make the dogs dance in a way.
Cool Stuff
There is some pretty cool things in the game such as it's multilayer mode or "Bark Mode". This mode takes advantage of the wireless input and output of the DS allowing play with friends who have the game. Sadly you HAVE to have the game in order to play with someone else. During the course of the game on walks your dog may find familiar items from the Nintendo franchise, specifically the Mario franchise. I have found the Mario hat, the Luigi hat, a question mark block, and a rubber mushroom.
Over All
Over all this game is great and can suite many types of gamers.
