A first person shooter on the Nintendo DS? Sweet!

Metroid Prime: Hunters (First Hunt), a demo of this game, came with the Original DS at Launch. It introduced us to the game, and got us really excited. But the fans of this game were disappointed when they heard it was gonna be delayed. So, after the long wait, did it live up to expectations? We were all in for a huge surprise.

Metroid Prime: Hunters takes place somewhere inbetween Metroid Prime, and Metroid Prime 2. A strange message is received by the Galactic Federation, that says the ultimate power lies in the Alimbic Solar System. Samus is sent to retrieve this, but many other bounty hunters received this message aswell, and, the hunt is on.

You often hear many PSP fanboys say:
"DS GRAPHIX SUK! HA!"
Metroid Prime: Hunters was exactly the game you can shove in a PSP's fanboys face, and say: SCREW YOU. The graphics are absolutely incredible for a portable FPS. The cutscenes look amazing, and something you could probably expect see in a PS2/XBox/GC game.

The Multiplayer is really where this game shines. Single-Card, Multi-Card, or Wi-Fi. In Single Card, it's, just a basic deathmatch, where only the host can choose their character, everyone else is Samus, which, isn't exactly a bad thing, but Multi-Card gives you many more options, to add bots, pick your characters etc.

Ah, the Wi-Fi, so brilliant, it needs its own paragraph. You can voice chat with your friends list, and you can get your butt kicked by some nerd, from halfway across the world! IT'S GREAT! It lets you do everything Multi-Card play can do, but with people you do, or don't know.

You may be asking, "Would I want to play this game after I passed it?" Of course you would, you'd want to get better and better at every character, beat your friends asses to the floor in a deathmatch, and then do the same thing to some guy from Sweden on Wi-Fi.

All in all, Metroid Prime: Hunters is an absolutely stellar title, and definitely a must buy for anyone that loves the FPS genre, or anybody who has previously played, and loved a Metroid title.

BUY OR NOT TO BUY: Buy. Twice. Frame the 2nd copy.
