I am looking into making one of those short url sites. I have a couple questions though... Is it likely that a web host will tell users not to use URL shortening sites? And two, anyone have some name ideas? I have thought of a few that are available. And finally, does this even sound like a good idea? And to clarify, I do know how to get it to show the website on my site. |

Frankly, I'm not a huge fan of short URL sites. They can easily be used for malicious purposes since you never know what you're clicking on until it's too late. I try to stay away from shortened links whenever I can. The Friendly Neighborhood Administrator |

I would use a super short name so the url isn't very long, like the URL shortner http://to./ does. Though you might not be able to get the ability to not use the domain thing at the end, you could use just a single letter and the shortest domain thing possible, i.e. u.tk (not sure if that's a real website LOL) I will NEVER STOP BEING AWESOME. And that's the way it is. |

Tusserte... That's actually a very good point. I have seen some for malware and stuff. Would anyone know a way to get it to be trusted other than being popular? |
